Monday and Announcement 1

Front Squat (135lb)

600 400 200

I finished in 12:14, with full chest to bar pullups.  By the way, Vibram Five Fingers if you want to run “barefoot”, check them out.

OK, on with the show.  I know there has been much anticipation and speculation…but here goes.  We are finalizing an Electronic Funds Transfer program that will probably go into effect in September.  What this means…we will try and put everyone on a 3 month or 6 month EFT program.  Pros…makes it easier on me and YOU, save money on the 6 month EFT, and the cash will be taken directly out of your account at the first of the month.  Cons…well, I don’t see any.  I WILL HAVE MORE INFO SOON.  Please, do not panic.  This is something that Vince and I have been talking about for months and we feel it will be much, much better for everyone.  We still will not have a joiners fee, and no long term contracts.  Just trust me on this.  It will be a good thing.  If you have questions email me at  Yes, we will have a new pricing structure.  I can tell you this up front, 6 months is going to be a hell of a deal.

    No hot tub!?!? 🙁
No warm steamy towels and on-demand wiping by Jeff!?!? 🙁

  2. Ben S says:

Patience Rodrigo, this is only announcement number one. Maybe the next one will be the implementation of on-demand wiping while he is wearing his kilt. I bet you can’t get that at Gold’s Gym!!!!

  3. Ben Weger says:

Ugh….. all I could think of is the need for a “drip tray” for kilt wearers, then it popped into my head… there would be an uncomfortable “biomechanical pendulum effect” during the performance kettlebell swings in the aforementioned kilt.

I do like the ability to do the EFT. Any possibility of a 1 year option?

  4. jeff says:

Ben W…it might be possible. We are exploring all of the options.

  5. Drew says:

Ok, seriously…No kilt mocking. Real Men Wear Kilts.

  6. jeff says: for those of you who want to be like your hero(es). You know who you are.

  7. rordigo says:

Well, i haven’t worn a quilt, kilt, but I’ll wear a sombrero next time and go commando to experience this mysterious biomechanical effect. Since I use large kettlebells I’m thinking it might just counterbalance and improve my performance.

  8. jeff says:

who is rordigo…did you forget how to spell your own name?

  9. iugirl says:

That is all funny stuff. Poor Rodrigo, or Rordigo, or whoever you are.
