Forge Philosophy 5-7-08

Today, the Forge conducted a “tractor pull”….5 tire flips, 15 pullups for 5 rounds. I got it done in 6:29.

Random thoughts on Indy CrossFit

First of all, we are coming into summer and new people will start gracing our doors.  Let’s try to make them feel welcome and encourage their participation. 

Vince and I ordered some bad ass new t-shirts for Indy CrossFit and they should be in shortly.  I am PROMISING YOU that these will go quickly, so if you want one please pay for one promptly.  We had a lot of people ask about our hoodies, and they were sold out within a week.  These are cooler and better then the hoodies.  Everyone and their mother will want one of these.

This is especially for Neal T.  There will be no Suffer on Saturday this Saturday (May 10), however, we will do a workout on Sunday.  My wife, who happens to be a mother, said that we should do it in the morning since everyone will be taking their wives, mothers etc. out for lunch.  So my thought is that we will do this at 8:30 SUNDAY morning.

I believe I have finally solved our video problem.  Stay tuned for future video.  And if it works…we may be doing a LOT of video.

We did something really nutty today (even though I did not, because I wanted to save my body from the abuse).

We used 115lbs. on all exercises.  I finished this in 10:52.

5 Box Jumps

AMRAP in 5 minutes

5 Burpess

5 Dumbbell Thrusters (40lbs in each hand)

5 Double Unders

1 min rest

5 Pushups

5 wallball

5 sumo deadlift high pull (115lb)

I did 18 rounds as prescribed.

Shout out to our Indy CrossFit throwers Jon McD, Dawn, Drew and Kim who tore it up at the Hoosier Tartan Classic.

Also, we had a couple of visitors last night.  Scott and Brian who were in town to protect and serve.

Today, victims at the Forge celebrated “cinco de suffer” which consisted of 55 cal row, 55 overhead lunges with 55lbs, 55 cal row, 55 presses with 55 lbs, 55 cal row, and 55 jump squats with 55lbs.

In hindsight, I should’ve called this cinco de suckfest.

Today, the Forge worked for 20 minutes and completed as many rounds as possible of 10 thrusters (65) and 10 burpees….I completed just under 9 rounds. Wednesday, it was 10 deadlifts (185), 400m run and 20 wallballs for 3 rounds.
